In 2019 our founder and his then 10 year old daughter were simultaneously diagnosed with unrelated cancers. They spent a combined 14 months going through chemotherapy and being saved by nurses and front line workers. They vowed to pay it back and wanted a direct impact so decided serving them high quality food was a good fit. After being laid off (COVID) with 15+ years restaurant Industry experience the goal of sourcing meals seemed manageable.
By maximizing personal donations with strategic partners, we began helping restaurants generate profitable orders resulting in work for staff and free high-end meals for healthcare organizations. In our first month we served over 1,000 meals out of our car funded solely by personal finances and generous restaurateurs. Now we rely on crowd sourced donations and generous partnerships.
In May 2020 Ryan was diagnosed again with Leukemia, started chemotherapy and in October received a Bone Marrow Transplant. He continued his volunteer efforts primarily from the hospital and has infused finances into more than 65 restaurants serving over 25,000 complimentary meals with help of volunteers and donations. As of November 2021, Ryan and Violet are both in Remission and Fine Dine Front Lines will draw to a successful close.
